Adult Sweetness: Passion Fruit

オトナの甘さ: Passion Fruit 05/2013

 It's another one of the オトナの甘さ(Adult Sweetness) KitKats. I have really come to like this series for a few reasons. The first one being that they're more active than the regular flavors these days. The other reason being that they tend to be a little less sweet and more biscuit-y, so it doesn't taste and feel like you're eating pure granulated sugar. If you're wondering, this Passion Fruit flavored KitKat gets Neena's seal of approval!

 I'm finally starting to whittle these KitKats down to a manageable number. Soon, I'll be all caught up. One can hope at least. Anyway this time around is some of the different fruit or fruit related flavors that I've come across that haven't been mentioned yet. We've got a mixed bag with two types of peach: yellow and white. It's another case of I remember the bag but not the flavor. I can't remember if the Raspberry & Passion Fruit one was any good. I want to think it was amazing, because I love raspberry. But I feel like it might have been disappointing.

The citrus flavors that I have this time around are Sour Orange and Yuzu. You guessed it. I don't remember how these were either. They both could have been amazing or horrible. Citrus Chocolate can go either way, can't it. I think it depends on the chocolate that is used maybe.

Going back through pictures from when I first came to Japan brought me across some of the first KitKats I bought here. Naturally I can't accurately remember their flavors. Some of them I can't really remember at all. Like the first one here, Muscat of Alexandria. I remember the box, but that's it. It's the same with the Apple one.  However I do remember loving the McDonald's collaboration, Caramel Macchiato Flurry, and this Lemon one was definitely a favorite. The lemon may or may not be true. It might just be the fact that I love lemon sweets and I don't actually have a true memory, just an assumption gone rogue. Anyway.....
