So KitKat has a line called オトナの甘さ which translates basically to sweetness for adults. Basically the KitKats aren't quite as sweet as their regular counterparts and the chocolate has bits of biscuits in it, so it's a little more crunchy. The most recent one, the matcha flavored one, is one of my favorites. I might even buy this one a second time! The others are good too, and you can buy the regular chocolate one anytime.

One of my friends went traveling and then mailed me some KitKats. She's super sweet!

Kawagoe is a city in Saitama prefecture. It's nicknamed "Little Edo" because it's still got a touch of the old era. It's also famous for sweet potatoes. I haven't been yet, but I've heard you can get sweet potato coffee and beer! Why haven't I been there yet? I'm not a huge fan of sweet potato flavoring though I love sweet potatoes, so these weren't my favorite KitKats.

She also when to the north for some red leaf viewing. She found these KitKats from that area. There's Yamagata's Cherry and Tochigi Strawberry. I love fresh cherries but not really cherry things. And as you may be able to guess, the strawberry ones tasted like any other strawberry one. Not bad though!

More Omiyage KitKats

My friend and I went to Kyoto for a week and we happened across this special KitKat. A popular souvenir from Kyoto is a sweet called Yatsuhashi. There's two types - soft and hard. The hard kind is like a hard cinnamon cookie. This KitKat tastes like that, so basically it tastes quite cinnamony. Yum!

I'm not sure where the person who bought this went but this Blueberry Cheesecake is from somewhere within the Kanto Koshinetsu area (The greater Kanto area?). Anyway, one of the boyfriend's coworkers brought this in to his office and he snagged me a photo and a KitKat. To be honest it was a little too sweet for me but not so bad.
